IN-CROWD ACCOMPLISHMENTS
THE IN-CROWD has earned the recognition of many as a major supplier of volunteers to directly assist underserved communities as well as the agencies and organizations that serve the underserved. These accomplishments are notable when events held yield donations.
THE IN-CROWD Partners and the Volunteer Force we connect with them are the building blocks and driving force for the accomplishments THE IN-CROWD has been able to produce throughout Palm Beach County.
If you would like to join the Volunteer Force, or are in need of volunteers, please take a moment to review our Building Bridges program, or contact us for details.
EVENT ACCOMPLISHMENT: CABANA COLONY FALL FESTIVAL

The best way to illustrate the joy of volunteerism is to read the reports from one of the organizers and participant of a recent Flash Event: The Cabana Colony Fall Festival.
“Steve, it has been such a pleasure to work with you this past month. You have been such a tremendous help in getting volunteers. We had over 225 residents attend our Fall Festival on Saturday, in addition to about 10 county members including Houston Tate, George Schott, Commissioner Maria Marino and others.
I asked for 20 volunteers, hoping for just even half, but you surpassed that and we had 33 volunteers sign up. Without your volunteers, we would not have been ready, nor would this have been nearly as successful. We appreciate your support and your partnership. Please share our heartfelt thanks with Dr. Beckford at the Palm Beach County School District. Without her, none of this could have happened!
I am looking forward to working with you more in the future to further grow our communities and involvement with THE IN-CROWD.
I’ve attached some pictures of our volunteers in action. They are all wearing the pink Cabana Colony Party Crew shirts.”

“Our Fall Festival was amazing!! Thank you to all of our residents for coming out and spending the day with us! To all of my volunteers, you were awesome! Thank you so much!
Special Thank you to our Cabana Colony Residents’ League Board members – without your hard work and dedication, we would have never been able to pull it off.
To our partners at the Palm Beach County, Office of Community Revitalization, we appreciate your continued partnership in bringing our Community together! Great to see Houston Tate and George Schott (Better known as Mickey!)
Thank you to our District 1 Commissioner, Maria Marino, for coming out and speaking with our residents.
While THE IN-CROWD wasn’t there today, their presence was felt! Most of our volunteers were provided to us with In-Crowd’s partnership with Palm Beach County Schools. Thank you Steve West and Team!
We look forward to seeing you all again at our next event!“

LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR DONATIONS: JESUS LOUNGE MINISTRY

Jesus Lounge Ministry is located in one of Palm Beach County’s underserved communities that wanted to create an increased ministry space for worship in their community.
THE IN-CROWD facilitated the pick up and delivery of several items of furniture and rallied The Office of Community Revitalization along with Palm Beach Harvest who helped to coordinate their services and deliver the furniture in order to help the Jesus Lounge Ministry community.

On August 5th, 2022 THE IN-CROWD along with core Partners Palm Beach County Office of Community Revitalization and Palm Beach Harvest were able to deliver needed furniture to Jesus Lounge Ministry.
“We are so grateful to have received this nice couch and the timely manner that you brought it over to the house, and assisted us to bring that large piece of needed furniture inside. It will serve our mission well.
Our gratitude also goes out to THE IN-CROWD, The Office of Community Revitalization, and Palm Beach Harvest for their Love Your Neighbor Program which has brought us this Godsend as well as all of the other things you’ve provided that help us fulfill our mission to help the homeless folks in our neighborhood to get by and to get back on their feet.
We also have great news, the car full of items we picked up recently were all distributed to the participants at True Mission Outreach led by Amanda Merten in Lantana.“

VOLUNTEER FORCE / EVENT: BALLPARK OF THE PALM BEACHES SPRING TRAINING

During Spring Training sessions, The Ballpark of The Palm Beaches concession stands often need a Volunteer Force to help Palm Beach Harvest distribute food.
THE IN-CROWD connected with our Partners Palm Beach County Schools in order to recruit volunteers for Spring Training. Volunteers helped with food distribution procedures of Ballpark concession stands. All volunteers were offered community service credit hours and free food and refreshments.
Ultimately, each volunteer contributed 5-6 hours at each event and the concessions shared proceeds with Palm Beach Harvest in order to purchase food for the hungry in Palm Beach County.

“I’ve volunteered all 3 days with Palm Beach Harvest last week, my experience was so great! Ms. Deborah was so sweet I really enjoyed working with her and the other volunteers, the work itself was also fun and it felt very rewarding knowing that it’s going towards families in need. I look forward to working with this organization again and I’m hoping to volunteer even after completing my service hours for high school.“

VOLUNTEER FORCE / EVENT: VIOLENCE REDUCTION PARTNERSHIP FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Through a collaboration of The Violence Reduction Partnership of the United States Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of Florida, the City of Riviera Beach Parks and Recreation, the Riviera Beach Police Department and Farm Share, Inc., Free Food Drive-Thru Distribution Events are established and held regularly in Riviera Beach.

“Good morning Mr. West,
I wanted to reach out to you to express my appreciation for the volunteers that were able to participate in the distribution on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in Riviera Beach. Both of the volunteers were wonderful to work with, and would like to continue volunteering with us as much as possible.
Kindest regards,”

Mark Anthony McKinney, Jr.
Law Enforcement Coordination Specialist, United States Attorney’s OfficeMark Anthony McKinney, Jr., the Law Enforcement Coordination Specialist at the United States Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of Florida, contacted Steve West, Founder of THE IN-CROWD, in order to find volunteers for the food drive events. The Volunteers were needed to do the contactless procedures of preparing grocery items for bagging, placing bagged groceries into the trunks of vehicles participating in the drive-thru, as well as helping to clean up the food distribution area. THE IN-CROWD was able to arrange Volunteers despite them having rough schedules during school on the weekday morning. Those Volunteers who participated in their first event also became regular Volunteers.

VOLUNTEER FORCE / EVENT: FRIENDS FEEDING FRIENDS + PALM BEACH HARVEST

Friends Feeding Friends with 103.1 WIRK Radio held a food drive event sponsored by Palm Beach Harvest. This event was held in order to collect and distribute non-perishable foods for those in need.

THE IN-CROWD received a request from Palm Beach Harvest in order to recriuit Volunteers to help with the Friends Feeding Friends with 103.1 WIRK Radio event. 103.1 WIRK Radio set up the site for the entire event, but they needed that rare commodity, Volunteers. The Volunteers were needed to sort the donated food from the donors as well as load distribution trucks.
Sponsor Palm Beach Harvest needed over 60 three hour shifts filled for this event. THE IN-CROWD helped put the system into motion to supply the Volunteers by coordinating with Palm Beach County Public Schools and was able to fill the requested shifts. Volunteer participants made an outstanding commitment, despite the harsh weekend weather.
THE IN CROWD is proud to partner with Palm Beach Harvest, Friends Feeding Friends with 103.1 WIRK Radio and Palm Beach County Schools and thanks them for their outstanding volunteerism and service to our community.
