League of Women Voters: PREVENTING GUN DEATHS & INJURIES

The Gun Safety Committees of the League of Women Voters of Palm Beach and Broward Counties invite everyone to join us on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 24 at 1:00 PM for this zoom presentation. Please see the attached flyer for details. We focus on protecting families, preventing gun deaths and injuries, and making our communities safer.

We will discuss Florida gun violence statistics, Florida Laws pertaining to gun ownership, risk protection orders, and the prevention of tragedies with safe gun storage. The presentation will include information from recent research conducted by the American Pediatric Association and Harvard University.  We will examine facts about suicide prevention, protecting children around guns, and reducing crime and domestic abuse through safe storage of firearms.
