There are many ways that you as a Public School Student can volunteer while you receive the maximum from your community service hours. In this education for students section you’ll learn how you can support your community by volunteering.
Below you will find several choices that may suit your interests and your skills. Before you begin, make sure that your project has been approved by the school system and will earn you your community service credits.
TUTOR, MENTOR AND BEYOND
There are so many ways you can help fellow students to do their best, to help in your building, or to help your community.
TUTOR OR MENTOR A FELLOW STUDENT: Tutoring and mentoring fellow students can make a difference in their lives as well as yours.
MAKE YOUR BUILDING A BETTER PLACE: Look and listen for what’s wanted and needed in your building. See how you can improve things in your community.
MAKE YOUR COMMUNITY A BETTER PLACE: You can join your fellow students in order to create a volunteer project! Organize a food or clothing drive. Organize or participate in a fund raiser for a local organization that is working to help people improve their lives. These are just a few starter ideas. Your imagination is your limit.
